In today’s marketplace a natural question seems to be, “You got an app for that?” We as a consumer base have demanded smaller, mobile solutions that integrate social and preferential needs all in a glossy non-crashing manner. Thank you Mr. Jobs for introducing us to this magical world that you created and helped define. Now that he is no longer with us it will be left to all of us to help define where the App world goes from here. Smaller, sleeker, more intuitive come to mind but looking across the horizon I tend to see the next giant leap happening when the App can be created by the average Joe. You see this giant leap occurred in the Blog world when this transition was achieved by the introduction of the WISYWIG and simplified hosting solutions. Imagine a world where you are able to combine Apps and create your own individual Apps that are all customized to your liking. Then you can turn around and post it for the entire world to see and use if they so desire. Your Apps will be able to run transactions, data mining capabilities, usage reporting and trending modules. Would you pay a premium for an App that was encapsulated with a Dolce & Gabbana design? Now ask yourself would your girlfriend or wife be so against this notion? Imagine teaming up with enterprise solution providers that enable you to borrow pieces to build your own App. X Company for transactions, Y Company for design, Z Company for inventory the possibilities are limitless and that my friends is the beauty of the web.
